Acadian Brown Cotton and the Acadiana Fibershed in partnership with NUNU Arts and Culture Collective & Cafe NUNU present our ANNUAL SPRING GATHERING! Farmers, growers, and artisans will gather to discuss regenerative agricultural practices used in raising livestock, natural fibers, and food. All are welcome to join the discussion.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER - Bob Blanchet of Brookshire Farms, Abbeville, LA will share how they raise cattle using regenerative methods, with a focus on soil health, animal care, and long-term sustainability.
Aleatha Shannon of Spindle and Spoon Homestead, Monroe, LA will talk about raising small livestock for fiber and how animals can fit into a thoughtful, small-scale system.
